Escape room in Dunedin

The Brickening

Homework first. That has always been the rule.

The Brickening escape room in Dunedin, a 1990s bedroom filled with brick built models and a padlocked toy chest

You burst through the front door after school, free at last. Then you find the note on the fridge. Homework first, and the toys are locked away until it is done.

Every kid knows the rule. Homework first, then you can play. The trouble is that someone has taken the rule very seriously indeed, and the toy collection you have spent years building is now behind a very determined set of locks.

The Brickening is our most family friendly room. The puzzles reward looking carefully rather than thinking sideways, so younger players stay in the game the whole hour and everyone gets a win on the board.

Who this room suits

  • Families with children
  • First time teams

What to expect

Bright and comfortable throughout. No live actors, nothing jumps out at you, and the lights stay on the whole hour.

The door is not locked. You can walk out at any time, and the clock is the only thing keeping you in.
